Build a Better World for Women and Girls

We are associated with Zonta International.

Our goal is to maintain a vibrant and effective virtual platform that champions the rights of women and girls at the local and international levels.

The Zonta E-Club of NSW/ACT caters to those who wish to be members of Zonta International and contribute to its work. These members are likely to live in locations where there are currently no Zonta clubs or where they are unable to attend a regular Zonta meeting due to work or personal commitments.

We operate predominantly virtually across New South Wales and the ACT. We recognise that you are busy and are accustomed to achieving great things using online platforms. This is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women and girls.

Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women

Zonta is a human rights organisation where globally minded individuals connect, collaborate and demand change to build a better world for women and girls.

We partner with the United Nations and other recognised human rights organisations.

Gender-based violence is a human rights issues around the world, in Australia and in your neighborhood.. Women and their children need our voices now more than ever.

Attracting new members that share our vision can help accomplish our mission.

How Does the E Club Work?

Members communicate with each other via video conference, chat, email and in-person meetings where possible. Members are encouraged to attend Zonta conferences to broaden their understanding of Zonta activities. When opportunities arise, we proactively work with other clubs to support Zonta’s mission to Build a Better World for Women and Girls.

We partner with traditional Zonta clubs in advocacy and service projects, such as Birthing Kits for women in developing countries or actions to support women affected by climate change, locally and internationally.

Activities and projects constantly change, but here are some examples of how E Club members can get involved.

  • sharing information about Zonta advocacy activities on your social media

  • participating in anti-domestic violence campaigns

  • attending International Women’s Day events

  • recognise and act upon the unique needs of women and girls resulting from climate disasters

We always welcome ideas from our members on new projects contributing to Zonta’s objectives of building a better world for women and girls.
